Care for your Mockingbird Made Fine Crafted piece

Many thanks for choosing a Mockingbird Made custom made piece, we hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

Your hardwood piece has been hand finished with Rubio Monocoat.

The following qualities described on Rubio’s website explain our choice to use this high quality finish:

• Natural ingredients, 0% VOC

For ongoing maintenance and care, clean your wooden piece with a low PH balanced soap, a small amount of Dawn liquid on a damp sponge or a soft cloth works well. Monocoat Soap is also available from rubiomonocoatusa.com or Amazon.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or the rough side of sponge. Aggressive cleaning will change the surface texture and expose raw wood.

Do not let water collect and sit on the piece, coasters are recommended, as wood finishes of any kind are not totally resistant to water, scratching or harsh chemicals.

Protection from hot dishes is also recommended.

After a few years, if the surface appears dry, Rubio Monocoat makes a product called Renew. It is an easy wipe on/wipe off application to refresh the finish.
